3 Great Acupressure Points to Ease Acute Low Back Pain
SELF CARE FOR ACUTE LOW BACK PAIN
Throwing out your back is no fun. The next time you find yourself experiencing sudden, excruciating low back pain, whether one sided or both sides, my three favorite acupressure points (which are also traditional acupuncture points) should be your go to for immediate self-care. Often times they will do the trick! If they do not fully alleviate the pain, we are here for you at Humanity Acupuncture. I love helping people get out of pain, so that they can regain the freedom to enjoy life. Acupuncture is amazing for treating all kinds of pain anywhere in the body.
"Nothing helped my sciatica after trying cortisone, epidural, and weeks of physical therapy with no success I finally went to Stephen. My symptoms subsided and I felt tremendous relief with the acupuncture therapy. I highly recommend Stephen and want to thank him for providing that relief.” – Robert M.
LOW BACK ACUPRESSURE POINTS 1. 2. 3.
Choose the hand on the side opposite of your low back pain. You can massage in small circles, gently press and release, or hold with gentle pressure for a couple minutes. Adding small, gentle, slow movements to the low back (like twists, hip circles and pelvic tilts) while massaging helps. Just go easy. Back off if any pain.
1) Point Number One is located right in the depression where the index and middle finger meet. If you’re on the bone, just move a little towards the fingers till you fall into the depression. (Pic A)
2) Point Number Two is located in the same type of depression, except where the ring and pinky fingers meet. I usually stimulate both points together! (Pic A)
3) Point Number Three is located on the palm side of the hand at the base of the thumb, on the inner edge of the meaty mound of muscle. (Pic B)
I truly hope these wondrous points bring you great relief! If you need more help please don’t hesitate to call, email or visit our website to learn more. And get back to living, back to humanity!
Many Blessings,
