Community Style Group Acupuncture. Sunday’s @ Humanity Acupuncture 12 noon- 3pm
Together We Heal
Community Acupuncture is acupuncture in a group setting, as opposed to private one-on-one acupuncture treatments. In community style acupuncture, you will be treated alongside you fellow man, as you recline in a comfortable Zero Gravity Loungers. Visits are 40 minutes in total. Reserving a spot for Community style treatment is SEPARATE from our regular online booking.
What are some of the benefits to receiving community style acupuncture vs. a private session?
I definitely recommend private sessions for new patients, especially those with chronic long term complaints or when there are several different complaints going on. In private sessions, we can take more time to focus on your underlying energetic imbalances causing your symptoms. Some of the benefits to community style group acupuncture:
1) Community Style group acupuncture allows those who can’t afford individual private sessions to receive much needed care that they might not otherwise receive. The cost is about half the cost of private one-on-one treatments. (We only accept Cash or Venmo only for Community Acupuncture treatments)
2) Community style acupuncture is great for acute issues (Less than 6 weeks old)
3) Community style acupuncture allows you to add an addition treatment per week to your private follow up treatments (at a lower cost) if you are working on a chronic issues.
In your community acupuncture session, we will utilize traditional distal acupuncture (that is to say treating away from the site of dysfunction) utilizing some of the most powerful points from the elbows down to the hands and the knees down to the feet. There is no need to disrobe. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows me to access from the elbows to the hands and pants that can comfortably roll up ABOVE the knee. I will also be using laser acupuncture to address the imbalances in your bodies core energy flows, restoring free flowing life-force so that your body may do what it was designed to do… Heal.
What are some of the things treated in a community setting
We can work on whatever you need, but here are a few suggestions:
• Overall Wellness , Balance & Vitality
• Pain Relief
• Optimize poor digestion
• Stress Relief
• Poor Sleep
What is not included in a community acupuncture session
Because of the public nature of community acupuncture (as well as the need to treat utilizing Zero-gravity chairs instead of tables) some services are reserved only for private one on one acupuncture sessions.
Treatments that require a Private One on One Treatment
1) Working directly on the back of the body (Face down treatments)
2) Treatments that require disrobing such as Cupping or Gua-Sha
3) Trigger point release of muscles ( also known as dry needling)
4) Moxabustion due to smoke irritation to those sensitive.
5) Scalar Energy
